Certified & verified carbon removal & impact
As a buyer of offsets you want to be ensured of your impact actions. We are investing a lot in trust and transparency.
Company level | Our in-house carbon engineer overviews measurements, data sets and applications. Soil tests are performed with a licensed agronometer and are always compared with an independent laboratory analysis. An agreement is set up with the bamboo farmers in order to guarantee proper carbon farming management. Three-yearly follow-up measurements keep track of the carbon performance. All data, project information, and carbon credit transactions are accessible online.
Certification | Bamboo Credits are certified and administered in the public Ledger by the Dutch ONCRA, preventing double use and ensure traceability of each credit. The ONCRA protocols are closely monitored and adapted to the latest market standards.
Verification | In June 2025 we received positive verification from Bureau Veritas for the carbon footprint calculation methodology and project impact within the ISO 14063-3 framework. A sample of bamboo farms in the Netherlands, France, and Portugal was assessed as well as the implementation of the Land Stored Carbon Protocol. The assesment was concluded with a on site verification in the Portuguese Alcoutim bamboo farm.

What makes bamboo stand out compared to other crops?
Better soils
At nature's best, because of bamboo
Bamboo stops land degradation and makes soils healthy again. With 60-70% degraded soils in the European Union, we need to act now with efficient and sustainable solutions to maintain food security, biodiversity and climate stability.
Regenerative agriculture
Accelerating the transition we need
Growing bamboo fits within the current vision of nature-inclusive agriculture and carbon farming. The fast-growing grass is one of the fastest renewable raw materials, provides a highly versatile material and offers European farmers a sustainable green business model.
Supporting climate
backed by European regulations
Managed bamboo fields can store tens of tonnes of CO2 per hectare per year in the soil. Processed into long-life materials such as building materials, bamboo stores many tonnes of carbon in addition to soil storage. Up to 1.6 tonnes of CO2 can be stored per tonne of bamboo. Therefore, bamboo is recognised by Cop 21 in Paris and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Supercharging the biobased industry
with best care for environment and biodiversity
There is demand for bamboo from almost every sector; Construction materials, textiles, pharma, food, beauty & healtcare, furniture, etcetera.
Our farmers can be suppliers in a sustainable and profitable way as part of a green economy. Bamboo offers European farmers opportunities to build a green business model based on a rapidly renewable and versatile raw material.

backed by European regulations
Managed bamboo fields can store tens of tonnes of CO2 per hectare per year in the soil. Processed into long-life materials such as building materials, bamboo stores many tonnes of carbon in addition to soil storage. Up to 1.6 tonnes of CO2 can be stored per tonne of bamboo. Therefore, bamboo is recognised by Cop 21 in Paris and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Supercharging the biobased industry
There is demand for bamboo from almost every sector; Construction materials, textiles, pharma, food, beauty & healtcare, furniture, etcetera.
Bamboo offers European farmers opportunities to build a green business model based on a rapidly renewable and versatile raw material.
Better soils
At nature's best, because of bamboo
Bamboo stops land degradation and makes soils healthy again. With 60-70% degraded soils in Europe, we need to act now with efficient and sustainable solutions to maintain food security, biodiversity and climate stability.
